158 migrants rescued off Libyan coast

Migrants from West Africa, Bangladesh, Sudan and Morocco include 26 women and 5 children
ROME: At least 158 migrants aboard an overcrowded dinghy off the Libyan coast were rescued, the Italian news agency ANSA said on Friday.
The Aquarius ship of the NGO SOS Mediterranee rescued the migrants from West Africa, Bangladesh, Sudan and Morocco 254 kilometers (158 miles) north of the Libyan town of al-Khoms, the agency said.
The Aquarius ship will land in Pozzallo south of Sicily on Saturday with 158 migrants including 26 women and five minors aboard after authorization from the Italian authorities.–AA
