A 4-year-old boy was critically injured after being shot while sitting inside a vehicle in Chicago’s McKinley Park area, police confirmed.
The incident occurred on Tuesday evening when an unidentified suspect opened fire on the vehicle. The child was struck and rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition. No other occupants were reported injured.
Authorities have launched an investigation and are reviewing surveillance footage from the area. No arrests have been made so far.
