In a message to the community, Mayor Melton acknowledged the success of events such as the sunset concert featuring the Gary Civic Symphony Orchestra and the Northwest Indiana Symphony, as well as the collaborative workshops with Notre Dame, which focused on shaping the city’s new master plan.
Highlighting the Back-to-School Fest with First Lady Crystal Melton, the unity displayed during National Night Out, and the excitement of the Gary Air Show, the mayor emphasized the strength and vibrancy of Gary’s community spirit. “Your involvement has been truly inspiring,” Mayor Melton said, thanking everyone for their support and engagement.
