
From July 12 to 14, USCENTCOM Commander Gen. Michael Erik Kurilla visited the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and Syria to meet with leaders and U.S. service members, gaining a deeper understanding of the regional security situation. On July 13, Gen. Kurilla met with Chief of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Alhnaity and key staff members to discuss security concerns, including the Israel-Hamas War and Houthi attacks in the Red Sea. He also toured several U.S. military facilities in Jordan and Syria to evaluate force protection improvements and the ongoing efforts to defeat ISIS.–News Desk
