Honda is recalling over 700,000 vehicles due to the risk of the high-pressure fuel pump cracking and leaking fuel, which could heighten the possibility of a fire.
This marks Honda’s second significant recall this month, following a recall of 1.7 million vehicles due to potential steering problems in early October.
The recall affects the 2023-2024 Accord and Accord Hybrid, 2025 Civic and Civic Hybrid, and 2023-2025 CR-V Hybrid.
Honda reported 145 warranty claims related to this issue but has received no reports of injuries or fatalities from February 2023 to September 2024.
The automaker stated that dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the high-pressure fuel pump at no cost to the owners.
Notification letters will be sent to owners on December 4. For more information, owners can contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138.
