Iranian deputy health minister catches coronavirus

Amid major outbreak in the Iranian republic, Iranian deputy health minister has confirmed that he has been tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
During the news conference, Iraj Harichi was coughing and time after time wiping sweat from his brow in Tehran.

The Iranian minister was courageous enough to admit his suffering.
Harichi said, “I too have been infected with coronavirus”.
He told, “I had a fever as of last night and my preliminary test was positive around midnight”.
Further, “I’ve isolated myself in a place since. A few minutes ago, I was told that my test was final, and now I am starting medication”. Most infections are reported from the Qom city, as stated by the health ministry.
Kianoush Jahanpur, the spokesperson health ministry said: “16 of the new cases were confirmed in Qom, while nine were in Tehran and two each in Alborz, Gilan, and Mazandaran”.
The virus spreading to other regions of Iran like provinces of Fars and Khorasan Razavi.
The Iranian republic, already facing sanctions by the US, is further isolated by the spread of the COVID-19. Turkish airlines have shut off flight operations to and from Iran.
