The Israel Ministry of Defense (IMOD) and the German Federal Ministry of Defence are progressing with the planned deployment of Israel’s advanced Arrow 3 missile defense system in Germany by 2025. Representatives from both countries recently convened at Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) for a professional two-day meeting, spearheaded by the Israel Missile Defense Organization (IMDO) within the Directorate of Defense Research & Development (DDR&D) of the IMOD.
Participants included leading Israeli defense industry representatives from IAI, Elbit Systems, and MBDA Deutschland GmbH, emphasizing the strong defense partnership between Israel and Germany. The Arrow missile defense system, comprising Arrow 2 and Arrow 3 interceptors, is a joint Israel-U.S. project designed to neutralize long-range ballistic missile threats. Notably, the system demonstrated its effectiveness in countering Iranian missile attacks on April 14, 2024, and October 1, 2024.
The Arrow 3 deployment marks a significant advancement in defense collaboration, reinforcing Israel’s commitment to bolstering international security partnerships while supporting its defense sector.–News Desk
