Israel Prepares Response to Hezbollah Attack in Majdal Shams

Israel’s Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant conducted an operational situation assessment at the IDF’s Northern Command headquarters, accompanied by Maj. Gen. Uri Gordin and other senior defense officials. The meeting was in response to an attack in Majdal Shams, which Gallant visited earlier in the day.

During the visit, Minister Gallant was briefed on potential operational actions against the Hezbollah terrorist organization. In light of the attack, he directed the defense establishment to be ready for any potential developments.

Minister Gallant expressed his outrage over the attack, stating, “I visited Majdal Shams early this morning and saw the site of the attack – a place where innocent girls and boys were murdered as they played football. The blood of Israeli children was spilled, and there is a price.”

He attributed the attack to Hezbollah, labeling the group as an Iranian proxy. “Hezbollah, an Iranian proxy, was behind the attack and they cannot hide it, despite their ridiculous denials. They fired [at Israel] and they will bear a heavy price for their actions,” Gallant warned, signaling a firm response from Israel.–News Desk
