Israeli warplanes strike southern Lebanese town

Late Sunday, Israeli warplanes launched two airstrikes targeting the outskirts and center of the town of Ayta ash-Shaab in southern Lebanon. The initial airstrike struck the northern outskirts near Khallet Warda, followed by a second strike hitting the town center, as reported by the Lebanese official news agency NNA.

In response to the airstrikes, ambulances were deployed to Ayta ash-Shaab as a precautionary measure, although there were no reports of casualties.

Additionally, Israeli warplanes and drones were observed flying over towns in the Tyre district in southern Lebanon, according to NNA reports. This escalation adds to existing tensions in the region, heightening concerns about further conflict between Israel and Lebanon.– Web Desk
