
In a high-level meeting in Riyadh, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh reaffirmed their commitment to boost tourism, trade, and investment between Pakistan and Vietnam. The discussion, held alongside the Eighth Future Investment Initiative Conference, highlighted the mutual benefits of enhancing bilateral ties.
A statement from the Prime Minister’s Office expressed PM Shehbaz’s eagerness to deepen collaboration, suggesting both countries send delegations to explore new business and economic opportunities. He also praised Vietnam’s proactive role within ASEAN and requested support for Pakistan’s bid to achieve full dialogue partner status in the organization.
To further strengthen ties, PM Shehbaz invited PM Pham to visit Pakistan, signaling a step toward closer diplomatic and economic cooperation. The meeting followed recent agreements between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, which have expanded their partnership to $2.8 billion, underscoring a regional trend toward stronger economic alliances.
