Putin Promotes Peace Proposals for Ukraine at International Forum

Russian President Vladimir Putin has outlined a set of peace proposals aimed at resolving the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, according to statements made during the Primakov Readings Forum in Moscow. The proposals, which were presented by his aide Yury Ushakov, call for Ukraine to recognize territorial changes resulting from Russia’s military actions since February 2022 and to affirm a neutral status, alongside demands for the lifting of Western sanctions against Russia.

Putin expressed optimism that the forum’s participants would engage with his proposals thoughtfully and see their potential to halt the conflict and lead towards a political and diplomatic resolution. The forum, which brings together international experts in international relations and economics, is seen as a platform for Russia to advance its vision for a new security system across Eurasia that emphasizes equal and indivisible security and mutual cooperation.–News Desk
