Officials reported that overnight Russian airstrikes injured at least 18 people in the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv and the city of Mykolaiv. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko detailed that seven individuals were harmed in Kyiv’s Pechersk district, with rescue operations ongoing amidst debris clearance efforts.
Following the attacks, Ukraine’s power grid faced significant disruptions, particularly in the Odesa region, where emergency shutdowns were enacted after drone strikes damaged substations. The situation led to extended power outages, with efforts underway to restore electricity to essential services, although challenges persist.
The Ukrainian Air Force successfully intercepted the majority of drones and ballistic missiles aimed at the Odesa and Mykolaiv regions, originating from the Crimean Peninsula. In Mykolaiv, a drone impact on a residential area resulted in 11 injuries, as confirmed by Governor Vitaliy Kim.–Web Desk
