SAN DIEGO—During Fleet Week San Diego on November 7, 2024, a sea lion captivated attendees with a unique salute demonstration under the guidance of a scientist from the Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific Marine Mammal Program. The exhibition was part of Fleet Week’s festivities, where the Navy showcases its capabilities, equipment, and unique programs to the local community.
Fleet Week offers service members an opportunity to connect with San Diego residents through a variety of community events, allowing the public to see first-hand the Navy’s technological advancements and dedication to marine life conservation.
