Syrian kid gets her prosthesis via social media


HATAY, TURKEY: A 9-year-old Syrian kid Hatice al Ahmed, who was born without her right arm, is seen at an Orthotic and Prosthetic Centre, after she had reached her own arm prosthesis with the help of benefactors in Turkey on March 27, 2018 in Reyhanli district of Hatay province in Turkey. Hatice continued her incomplete education at Mersin Bahcelievler primary school after fled from the northern Syrian city of Jarabulus to Turkey’s Mediterranean province of Mersin with her family members and contact with Orthotic and Prosthetic Centre which was opened in cooperation with The Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO) and Relief International, via her social media account for the arm prosthesis. After Prosthetic centre covered the expense of her prosthesis and she received the 3-month physical therapy, Hatice’s moving ability improved with her new prothesis arm.
