President-elect Donald Trump has claimed that the US military and President Joe Biden are aware of the origin of the mystery drones spotted over New Jersey and the East Coast, but are keeping this information under wraps. Trump suggested that authorities are withholding details to “keep people in suspense” and urged the government to be transparent. While he did not offer proof, Trump emphasized that the military knows exactly where the drones came from, adding, “If it’s a garage, they can go right into that garage.”
The drones, seen near military sites, have sparked concerns among local officials. However, federal agencies, including the FBI and Department of Homeland Security, issued a joint statement saying the sightings are mainly due to commercial and hobbyist drones, with no national security risk detected.
Trump, whose property in Bedminster, New Jersey, was also near the sightings, voiced his worry, even suggesting he might cancel a planned visit. Meanwhile, lawmakers like Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer are pushing for enhanced drone detection systems to address the mystery. The FBI is currently leading the investigation, but many are calling for quicker action and clearer answers.
