
May 24, 2024: Cmdr. Jessica Anderson, a spokesperson for the Department of Defense, announced that Dr. Vipin Narang, Acting Assistant Secretary of Defense for Space Policy, and Mr. Vishwesh Negi, India’s Joint Secretary for International Cooperation, convened at the Pentagon on May 23, 2024, for the second annual U.S.-India Advanced Domains Defense Dialogue (AD3).
This meeting follows a commitment made during the 2022 2+2 Ministerial Dialogue to enhance cooperation in emerging defense areas, including space. Dr. Narang and Mr. Negi focused on strengthening space collaboration and identified new opportunities for U.S.-India industrial partnerships.
The dialogue featured a principal-level tabletop exercise, co-chaired by Dr. Narang and Mr. Negi, aimed at improving cooperation in space defense. Both sides agreed to continue advancing AD3 through ongoing working group discussions. The Indian delegation also engaged with U.S. Space Command, the Joint Commercial Operations Cell, and artificial intelligence experts within the Department of Defense.–News Desk
