CM Denies Rift With Bushra

KP CM Gandapur Denies Rift With Bushra Bibi Amid Political Tensions

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has dismissed claims of disagreements with Bushra Bibi, wife of former Prime Minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan, calling such reports baseless propaganda.

Speaking to media in Peshawar, Gandapur refuted allegations of a dispute, emphasizing that his priority remains the release of Imran Khan from custody. He accused authorities of targeting PTI leaders and supporters with unfounded cases to hinder the party’s political activities.

Alleged Altercation Over Protest Leadership
Reports had surfaced on November 25 of an argument between Gandapur and Bushra Bibi regarding participation in a planned protest in Islamabad. According to sources, Bushra Bibi had reportedly expressed a desire to lead the march from Peshawar, but Gandapur disagreed, citing her lack of political involvement. Following the exchange, Bushra Bibi stayed in her car while Gandapur returned to his residence.

Address to KP Assembly
Gandapur announced plans to address the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly to discuss recent developments and outline PTI’s strategy. His remarks come as the party faces heightened political challenges and mobilizes support for Imran Khan.

FIRs Against PTI Leadership
In a related development, Islamabad police registered eight cases against PTI leaders, including Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi, and Gandapur, along with thousands of party workers, in connection with protests at D-Chowk. The FIRs also name PTI leaders Salman Akram Raja, Sheikh Waqas Akram, and others.

These events unfold amid increasing political turmoil and PTI’s efforts to navigate mounting pressure on its leadership and supporters. Further updates are expected following Gandapur’s address to the provincial assembly.
