Four Killed as South Korean Navy Patrol Plane Crashes During Training Flight
A South Korean Navy aircraft crashed shortly after takeoff during a routine training mission on Thursday, killing all four crew members on board, according to military officials.
The P-3 maritime patrol plane departed from a naval base in the southeastern city of Pohang at 13:43 local time before crashing minutes later. The cause of the crash remains under investigation, the Navy confirmed in an official statement.
Authorities have launched a full inquiry into the incident, and recovery operations are ongoing.
