Gaza Death Toll Reaches 44,235 Amid Ongoing Strikes

Gaza Death Toll Rises to 44,235 Amid Continued Israeli Strikes

Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip have claimed the lives of at least 24 more Palestinians in the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll since last year to 44,235, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry. The ongoing assault has also left 104,638 people injured, the ministry reported on Monday.

In a statement, officials highlighted the devastating impact of recent attacks, stating that two massacres targeting families killed 24 and wounded 71 others. Many victims remain trapped under rubble, with rescuers unable to reach them due to continuous bombardment.

The Israeli military’s actions, described by many as genocidal, persist despite a United Nations Security Council resolution demanding an immediate cease-fire. International criticism of the campaign has grown in the second year of the conflict, with leaders and organizations increasingly characterizing it as an attempt to annihilate the Palestinian population.

On Thursday, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, accusing them of war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Additionally, Israel faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice, underscoring the global outcry over its actions in the enclave.
