President Herzog Praises Israeli Efforts to Boost Humanitarian Aid in Gaza
Israeli President Isaac Herzog has expressed strong support for new humanitarian measures announced by the Israeli government and military in Gaza. He welcomed the decision to introduce humanitarian pauses in fighting, saying these steps are essential for protecting civilians and ensuring the safe delivery of aid.
President Herzog stated that Israel is working closely with international partners to increase the flow of vital supplies. These efforts include using designated corridors, conducting airdrops, and expanding humanitarian zones to improve access to food, medicine, and other essential resources.
He called on UN agencies and international aid organizations, particularly those working with COGAT (Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories), to take immediate action and distribute aid efficiently. Herzog criticized the current situation, noting that much of the aid is either not reaching those in need or is being intercepted by Hamas, even as the group continues to blame Israel for delays.
“The international community must stand firm against terrorism,” Herzog said, urging global actors to work tirelessly to secure the immediate return of Israeli hostages still held in Gaza.
