Netanyahu Urges Lebanese Civilians to Evacuate Amid Hezbollah Conflict

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a direct message to the people of Lebanon on Monday, emphasizing that Israel’s ongoing military actions are aimed at Hezbollah, not the Lebanese populace. In his statement, Netanyahu stressed that for too long, Hezbollah has been using Lebanese civilians as human shields, hiding rockets in homes and missiles in garages, with the aim of striking Israeli cities.

“Our war is not with you. It’s with Hezbollah,” Netanyahu declared, urging Lebanese citizens to take heed of the Israel Defense Forces’ (IDF) warnings to evacuate dangerous areas. “Starting this morning, the IDF has warned you to get out of harm’s way. I urge you – take this warning seriously.”

Hezbollah, according to Netanyahu, has endangered Lebanon by placing its military arsenal among civilians, turning their homes into targets. He called on the people of Lebanon to protect themselves by leaving high-risk areas until the IDF’s operations are completed.

Netanyahu assured that once the mission is over, Lebanese civilians would be able to safely return to their homes. His plea comes as Israel ramps up its military campaign against Hezbollah, aiming to neutralize the group’s missile and rocket capabilities, which have been directed toward Israeli cities.

Netanyahu’s message seeks to highlight the distinction between Israel’s battle with Hezbollah and the broader Lebanese population, encouraging civilians to prioritize their safety during this critical time.–News Desk
