Rights group: Syria regime, Russia launch new attack on Idlib despite ceasefire

An onslaught was launched in northwestern Syria late on Tuesday night and early yesterday by the Syrian regime and Russian warplanes, according to The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) which revealed yesterday.
It was said that the offensive was launched for the first time in the region since a ceasefire brokered between Russia and Turkey came into effect about three months ago.

Rami Abdel Rahman who is the director of The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) acknowledged that the target set by Russian jets was on Hama-Idlib-Latakia triangle, adding that the Russian raids appeared in order to make efforts in keeping opposition fighters towards another direction from roads and villages in the Sahl Al-Ghab area. However, Syrian and Russian forces were deployed in the same region.
