Turkey ‘neutralizes’ 5 PKK terrorists in northern Iraq

ANKARA- Turkish forces “neutralized” at least five PKK terrorists in northern Iraq, the Turkish National Defense Ministry said on Wednesday.

Turkish National Defense Ministry said on Wednesday, around five PKK terrorists were neutralized by Turkish military in Haftanin and Hakurk regions in northern Iraq.

It was reported by the ministry via a tweet that Turkish forces in Haftanin and Hakurk regions neutralized the following terrorists after they were detected via reconnaissance and surveillance activities. He further added that anti-terror operations of the country will have a continuous move.

Turkish authorities use the term “neutralized” to imply the terrorists in question surrendered or were killed or captured.

However, these terrorists-PKK have plans to conduct terrorist attacks in Turkey after they often take shelter in northern Iraq which to them seems a place of attack planing.

The PKK has been listen as a terrorist organization by US, Turkey and the European Union as a result of its more than 30-year terror campaign against Turkey. They countries accused PKK responsible for the death of around 40,000 people which include Children, women and even infants.
