U.S. Central Command conducted a significant humanitarian assistance airdrop into Northern Gaza on June 9, 2024, to provide essential relief to civilians affected by the ongoing conflict. The joint operation featured a U.S. Air Force C-130 aircraft, which delivered over 10 metric tons of Meals Ready to Eat (MREs), offering critical aid to those in need.
This latest mission brings the total amount of U.S. airdropped humanitarian assistance to over 1,050 metric tons, complementing additional aid delivered through the Joint Logistics Over the Sea (JLOTS) corridor.
These Department of Defense (DoD) humanitarian airdrops are part of broader efforts by the U.S. and partner nations to alleviate human suffering in the region. This operation is part of a sustained campaign, with further aerial deliveries planned to continue providing much-needed support to the people of Gaza.–News Desk
