The amphibious transport dock ship USS Somerset departed after completing a replenishment with the Royal Canadian Navy’s replenishment oiler MV Asterix during Exercise Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) in the Pacific Ocean on July 15, 2024. RIMPAC, the world’s largest international maritime exercise, features participation from 29 nations and 25,000 personnel.
