Hajj 2025: Pilgrims Mark Day of Arafah at Mount Arafat in Spiritual High Point

Global Muslim Pilgrims Unite in Prayer on Mount Arafat for Hajj’s Holiest Day

Pilgrims Gather at Mount Arafat for Spiritual Peak of Annual Hajj Pilgrimage

Millions of Muslims from across the world have gathered at Mount Arafat in Saudi Arabia for the most significant day of the annual Hajj pilgrimage. This sacred site, located just outside the holy city of Mecca, marks the spiritual pinnacle of the five-day religious journey.

Pilgrims spent the day in prayer, reflection, and devotion, commemorating the Prophet Muhammad’s Farewell Sermon, delivered over 1,400 years ago. The Day of Arafah is considered the holiest in the Islamic calendar, as it represents forgiveness, mercy, and unity among Muslims.

Many pilgrims stood in the open air under the sun, raising their hands in prayer and seeking spiritual renewal. The scene was a profound expression of faith, with worshippers coming from every continent, demonstrating Islam’s global reach and diversity.

The Hajj is one of the Five Pillars of Islam and a religious obligation for all Muslims who are physically and financially able to undertake the journey at least once in their lifetime. Following the day at Arafat, pilgrims will proceed to Muzdalifah and then return to Mina for the ritual of animal sacrifice and the symbolic stoning of the devil.

Saudi authorities have implemented extensive measures to ensure the safety, health, and organization of the pilgrims, including medical services, hydration stations, and crowd control strategies.
