Gallant Discusses Regional Security with Austin

Overnight, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant held a conversation with U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin to discuss security developments in the region. Minister Gallant provided an update on the Israeli Defense Forces’ (IDF) preparedness to defend Israel against potential threats from Iran and its proxies. The discussion covered various scenarios and the IDF’s corresponding defensive and offensive capabilities.

Minister Gallant expressed gratitude to Secretary Austin for the close military and strategic coordination between Israel and the United States. He acknowledged the significance of current and future U.S. military deployments and changes in force posture aimed at enhancing Israel’s defense.
