Administration Responds to Energy Concerns
US Vice President JD Vance announced on Wednesday that the Trump administration plans to introduce new measures within 24 to 48 hours to tackle rising gas prices. His remarks came during an event in Michigan, where he addressed concerns over the impact of US military operations in the Middle East on domestic energy costs.
Vance acknowledged the strain on American consumers, stating, “Gas prices are up, and we know they’re up. People are hurting because of it, and we’re doing everything that we can to keep them lower.”
Temporary Increase in Gas Prices
He described the current surge in energy prices as a “temporary blip” and assured the public that prices would eventually stabilize. Vance emphasized that the administration is actively working on multiple strategies to ease the situation.
“In fact, a couple of things are expected to be announced in the next 24 to 48 hours. I don’t want to get ahead of the president,” he added.
Focus on Iran and National Security
When asked about concerns over the US operation against Iran, Vance reaffirmed that preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon remains the administration’s primary goal. He assured that the president aims to avoid long-term military entanglements similar to past conflicts.
