Death Toll From Israeli Airstrikes in Lebanon Rises to 303
Beirut, Lebanon, 09 April 2026 – Israeli airstrikes across Lebanon on Wednesday killed 303 people and injured 1,150, the Lebanese Health Ministry reported Thursday.
Civilian Casualties and Rescue Efforts
The ministry confirmed that at least 110 children, women, and elderly were among the victims. Rescue teams continue searching for bodies under rubble in several affected areas.
Overall Impact Since March
These strikes have increased the total death toll from Israeli attacks since March 2 to 1,888, with 6,092 others injured.
Ceasefire Complications
The airstrikes occurred despite a two-week ceasefire announced between the United States and Iran. While Pakistan and Tehran stated the truce includes Lebanon, Washington and Tel Aviv have denied that.
