Israeli Forces Kill Palestinian and Injure Nine in Gaza
Israeli forces killed a Palestinian and injured nine others, including four children, in separate incidents across the Gaza Strip on Saturday, according to Palestinian medical sources cited by Anadolu.
The reported casualties came amid continuing tensions surrounding the Gaza ceasefire agreement, which has been in effect since Oct. 10, 2025.
A medical source said a young Palestinian man was killed after Israeli forces opened fire in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza.
In southern Gaza, seven Palestinians, including two children, were taken to Nasser Hospital after Israeli tanks positioned near the al-Shakoush area southwest of Khan Younis opened fire, according to medical sources. Three of those injured were reportedly in critical condition.
Two more children were wounded in Gaza City after Israeli forces allegedly fired toward Palestinian homes and tents housing displaced families in the eastern Tuffah and Zeitoun neighborhoods, the sources said.
Elsewhere in central Gaza, local sources and witnesses reported Israeli drone fire targeting Palestinian homes east of the Bureij refugee camp and east of Deir al-Balah. No casualties were reported in that incident.
Israeli artillery also reportedly shelled areas east of the Maghazi refugee camp, according to local sources.
Ceasefire Casualties
Gaza’s Health Ministry said Israeli violations of the ceasefire have killed 1,257 Palestinians and injured another 4,131 since the agreement took effect.
The ministry also reports that more than 73,000 Palestinians have been killed and over 174,000 injured in Gaza since Oct. 8, 2023. According to the figures, women and children account for a large proportion of the casualties.
The prolonged conflict has also caused extensive destruction across the Gaza Strip, with the Health Ministry and Palestinian authorities reporting severe damage to homes, public facilities and other infrastructure.
The latest incidents add to continuing concerns over the durability of the ceasefire and the humanitarian situation facing Palestinians across the enclave.
