Two Palestinians were killed and several others, including children, were injured Tuesday in separate Israeli airstrikes and gunfire in the Gaza Strip, according to medical and local sources.
A strike hit an apartment in the Al-Nasr neighborhood west of Gaza City, killing one Palestinian and injuring several others. The attack targeted an apartment inside the Al-Batoul building, which was heavily damaged and caught fire following the strike.
Witnesses said a drone had been hovering over the area before the attack, causing panic among residents.
In central Gaza, another Palestinian was killed by Israeli army gunfire on Salah al-Din Street east of Deir al-Balah. Medical officials identified the victim as Ahmed Abu Mur and said his body was taken to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital.
Meanwhile, witnesses and local sources reported that Israeli forces carried out a large-scale demolition operation against buildings in areas under their control east of Deir al-Balah.
The incidents occurred despite a ceasefire that has been in effect since Oct. 10, 2025. Gaza’s Health Ministry says Israeli violations of the agreement have killed 1,421 Palestinians and injured 4,983 others.
According to the ministry, more than 74,000 Palestinians have been killed and over 175,000 injured in Gaza since Oct. 8, 2023, while approximately 90% of the territory’s infrastructure has been destroyed.
