Joint U.S.-Australian Amphibious Drill Held at Cowley Beach

At Queensland’s Cowley Beach Training Area, U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Cody Albert participated in a dynamic amphibious exercise, piloting a military vehicle from an Australian air-cushioned landing craft. This exercise, part of a broader collaboration between U.S. and Australian forces, included deck landing qualifications, live-fire deck shoots, and medical exchanges among subject matter experts.

The training focused on enhancing amphibious fire capabilities and executing precise ship-to-shore movements, setting the stage for future operational tasks. These maneuvers not only reinforced the tactical skills of the participating forces but also strengthened the military partnership between the two nations, ensuring preparedness for joint operations and fostering interoperability in diverse combat scenarios.–Photo By: Marine Corps Gunnery Sgt.
