New York City police have identified the shooter involved in the fatal shooting of UnitedHealthcare CEO and released details based on video footage. The suspect is described as a light-skinned male wearing a cream-colored jacket, black face mask, black-and-white sneakers, and a distinctive gray backpack.
Investigators revealed that the shooter approached the victim from behind and fired several shots, with the gun malfunctioning briefly before the shooter resumed firing. After the attack, the gunman fled through an alleyway, then rode an electric bike north on Avenue of the Americas toward Central Park.
Police recovered three live 9mm rounds and three discharged 9mm shell casings at the scene.
