US President Donald Trump said Thursday that Washington and Warsaw are making substantial progress toward establishing a new US Army base in Poland, with the location potentially being revealed soon.
Trump praised Polish President Karol Nawrocki for helping move the proposal forward and said the planned facility could mark an important development in relations between the two countries.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump described the progress as significant and said that, if the plan moves ahead, officials would announce the base’s location in the near future.
He characterized the potential military facility as a historic step in strengthening the US Polish alliance.
