The Turkish stock market’s benchmark index, BIST 100, closed on Friday at 9,184.82 points, marking a 2.67% increase from the previous day.
The index gained 238.69 points from Thursday’s closing level, reaching a daily low of 8,927.94 and a high of 9,195.83. By the end of the session, 86 indexes rose in value while 13 saw declines.
The total transaction volume for the day was 100 billion Turkish liras (approximately $2.9 billion), with the index’s overall valuation standing at 8 trillion liras (around $234.19 billion).
As of 6:40 p.m. local time (1540 GMT), the USD/TRY exchange rate was 34.3740, EUR/TRY stood at 36.9390, and GBP/TRY traded at 44.4510.
Gold was priced at $2,690.78 per ounce, while Brent crude oil was around $73.40 per barrel.
