West Bank Violence Leaves One Dead

Israeli Forces Kill Palestinian In Kobar

A 19-year-old Palestinian was killed and several others were injured Friday evening during an Israeli military operation in Kobar, north of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, according to Palestinian authorities.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said Bahaa Sami Amin al-Natsheh died after sustaining critical gunshot wounds. The ministry was informed of his death by the General Authority for Civil Affairs.

The official Palestinian news agency Wafa reported that Israeli forces were withholding al-Natsheh’s body. It also said Palestinian ambulance teams were prevented from reaching several wounded people and taking them to medical facilities, leaving their conditions unclear.

Wafa further reported that another Palestinian suffered a head injury after being struck by a tear gas canister fired by Israeli forces during a raid on the town.

Data released Friday by the Palestinian Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission showed that 647 attacks were carried out across the occupied West Bank in September, resulting in the deaths of three Palestinians.

Official Palestinian figures estimate that about 750,000 Israeli settlers live in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, across 194 settlements and approximately 400 outposts.
