Jerusalem, April 18, 2025 — In a powerful gesture of unity and diplomacy, newly appointed U.S. Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, began his tenure with a heartfelt visit to the Western Wall, delivering a special note of peace written by President Donald J. Trump.

Immediately after landing in Israel, Ambassador Huckabee honored his pledge to commence his mission with a symbolic prayer at the Western Wall, a revered site for the Jewish people. The highlight of the visit was the placement of a handwritten note from President Trump reading: “For peace in Israel – Donald Trump.”

This poignant act reflects the enduring alliance between the United States and Israel. Huckabee, representing Trump, emphasized the President’s sincere hope for peace in the region and delivered the message personally, in line with instructions received during a private moment at the White House.

Ambassador Huckabee was warmly received by Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz, Rabbi of the Western Wall and Holy Sites, and Mr. Mordechai Eliav, Director of the Western Wall Heritage Foundation. Both leaders extended blessings and expressed deep appreciation for America’s unwavering support during challenging times.

Together, Rabbi Rabinowitz and Ambassador Huckabee recited Psalm 121 and offered prayers for peace, unity, and the success of Huckabee’s diplomatic role. The visit took place amid heightened regional tensions, making the message of peace especially significant.

Rabbi Rabinowitz stated, “The people of Israel are deeply moved by this gesture of friendship and solidarity, especially in these difficult days of conflict and uncertainty.”

Ambassador Huckabee added, “It is a true honor to deliver President Trump’s personal prayer and begin this important mission with a moment of faith and peace at the Western Wall.”
