JERUSALEM: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said no date has been finalized for his planned visit to Washington, while acknowledging that differences with US President Donald Trump remain part of their relationship.
In an interview, Netanyahu said disagreements between the two leaders are addressed through open dialogue and expressed hope for progress toward peace with Lebanon. He also reiterated Israel’s position that Iran must not be allowed to develop nuclear weapons or the capability to deliver them.
The remarks come as Washington and Tehran continue diplomatic efforts following a memorandum of understanding reached in June aimed at reducing tensions, addressing nuclear issues, easing sanctions, reopening the Strait of Hormuz, and advancing broader regional security discussions.
