US President Donald Trump has once again stressed that Iran must not be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons, describing the country’s leadership as dangerous and highly aggressive.
In an interview with Fox News, Trump said Iran would use a nuclear weapon if it obtained one. He argued that such a development could have catastrophic consequences for Israel and the wider Middle East, while potentially putting the United States and Europe at risk as well.
Trump claimed that without his presidency, Israel could have faced destruction and said the consequences for the region would have been severe.
He also praised US military actions against Iran, claiming that Washington was causing substantial damage and that its blockade efforts had been particularly effective.
Trump described Iran as a country in decline and said he was surprised when Tehran began attacking Gulf states at the beginning of the conflict. He suggested that those attacks had caused Iran to lose support.
The US president further accused Democrats of wanting America to lose its conflicts with Iran and Venezuela. He rejected that possibility, insisting that the United States was achieving clear victories.
