Trump Warns of Further Action Against Iran

1. Trump Says Iran Must Not Obtain Nuclear Weapons

WASHINGTON, October 14, 2026 — US President Donald Trump suggested that further action could be taken against Iran while speaking at a campaign rally in Wasilla, Alaska, on Tuesday.
Addressing supporters during a campaign event for Republican candidates ahead of the November 3 midterm elections, Trump indicated that his administration had reached a point of frustration with Tehran and hinted at possible future measures.
“Wait till you see what we do to Iran. We’re going to do a number,” Trump said, adding that the United States had already dealt with the issue to some extent. He also suggested that developments were still pending, saying that Iran was waiting.
Trump reiterated that preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons remained the central objective, emphasizing that this was the most important consideration in the dispute.
His comments followed a report published Tuesday by the news outlet Axios, which said Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had discussed the possibility of a major new operation against Iran ahead of elections in both countries.
Citing two US officials and other sources familiar with the discussions, the report said the talks occurred before Trump publicly indicated that he would not launch an attack on Iran before the US midterm elections.
