Explosions Reported in Haifa Following Drone Infiltration from Lebanon
HAIFA, Israel:
Residents in northern Israel heard powerful explosions in the Haifa Bay area on Saturday after drones entered Israeli airspace from Lebanon, according to Israeli media.
Drone and Rocket Activity
Three drones crossed from Lebanon into Israel, with Israeli forces intercepting two of them, the daily Yedioth Ahronoth reported. Earlier, air raid sirens sounded in Nahariya, Safed, and nearby areas due to suspected drone activity and rocket fire from Lebanon.
No Injuries Reported
So far, authorities have reported no injuries or property damage. However, residents in Acre, Haifa Bay, and the Galilee region have taken shelter 16 times since midnight as a precaution against rocket and drone launches.
