Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Al-Ittihad increased their lead in the Saudi Pro League to five points, despite being held to a 2-2 draw by Al-Ahli. The defending champions, Al-Hilal, suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of cross-Riyadh rivals Al-Nassr, allowing Al-Ittihad to strengthen their position at the top of the table.
Cristiano Ronaldo was the star for Al-Nassr, scoring two goals, including a crucial penalty in the 88th minute, to secure a 3-1 win over Al-Hilal. This victory moves Al-Nassr to within three points of second-placed Al-Hilal, with eight games remaining in the season.
The race for the title remains tight, with Al-Ittihad maintaining a solid lead, but Al-Nassr’s win keeps the pressure on the defending champions.
