China has commenced the first sea trial of the Fujian, its most advanced and entirely domestically built aircraft carrier, as reported by state media Xinhua. Departing from Jiangnan Shipyard in Shanghai, this marks a significant milestone nearly two years after the carrier was first revealed in June 2022. The Fujian, now the largest ship in the Chinese navy, joins the Liaoning and Shandong in China’s aircraft carrier fleet.
