Clinton Defends Biden Health Amid Decline Claims

Clinton Backs Biden Health Amid Criticism

Washington, D.C.

Former U.S. President Bill Clinton has publicly dismissed growing speculation about President Joe Biden’s mental and physical decline, calling such claims unfounded and politically driven.

Speaking to reporters at a recent event, Clinton said he had met with President Biden “not long ago” and found him to be in “strong health, sharp focus, and full command.” He emphasized that the president’s capacity to lead remains intact, despite increasing scrutiny from critics and segments of the media.

“I know what decline looks like. I’ve been around a lot of leaders. Joe is not in decline,” Clinton stated firmly. He warned against misinformation campaigns designed to sow doubt about Biden’s fitness as the 2024 election approaches.

The statement comes amid mounting attacks from political opponents questioning Biden’s age and cognitive ability. While the White House has repeatedly asserted the president’s fitness for office, Clinton’s remarks add weight to the administration’s efforts to reinforce public confidence.

Biden, currently 81, is the oldest sitting U.S. president and is expected to seek re-election. His team maintains that his experience, not age, defines his leadership.

Observers say Clinton’s defense could help rally Democratic unity as the party prepares for a potentially heated campaign season.
