Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer recently held discussions with key U.S. officials, including White House Middle East Coordinator Brett McGurk, Senior Presidential Advisor Amos Hochstein, and U.S. Ambassador Jack Lew. Also present from Israel’s side were Ambassador Michael Herzog and senior defense and strategy advisors.
The meeting covered regional security challenges, particularly regarding Israel’s northern front and Lebanon. Efforts to secure the return of 101 hostages still held by Hamas in Gaza were also a key focus.
