Jerusalem – The National Security Council (NSC) has issued a safety alert to Israeli citizens traveling or residing abroad, urging heightened caution ahead of a global “Day of Rage” scheduled for Tuesday, April 22, 2025.
Organized by pro-Palestinian groups, this worldwide campaign calls for mass demonstrations, disruptions, and protest events across multiple countries. The NSC warns that while many of these protests are planned as peaceful, there is a real concern that they could escalate into violence, particularly targeting Israelis.
The alert also highlights the risk of lone-wolf attacks or extremist supporters potentially using the chaos of public protests as cover to carry out assaults.
According to the NSC, there has been a notable rise in extremist activity and violent rhetoric globally, especially after the Swords of Iron conflict.
