Jerusalem, Israel – President Isaac Herzog officially received the diplomatic credentials of newly appointed ambassadors to Israel, including the United States’ new envoy, Ambassador Huckabee, during a formal ceremony at the President’s Residence.
In a powerful statement to Ambassador Huckabee, President Herzog stressed the immediate need for the release of Israeli hostages held by Hamas. “We share not only the sorrow, but a firm determination to secure the freedom of every hostage still in Hamas captivity. Your dedication—both emotional and operational—is deeply appreciated. This is a mission of utmost urgency,” Herzog asserted.
Ambassador Huckabee reaffirmed America’s unwavering alliance with Israel, highlighting shared national security interests. “The threats facing Israel are the same threats we confront as Americans. Our partnership delivers immense benefits—ranging from intelligence cooperation to technological advancements and breakthroughs in agricultural innovation, where Israel is a global leader,” said Huckabee.
Alongside the U.S. envoy, new ambassadors from India, Canada, Belarus, the Dominican Republic, and Angola also submitted their diplomatic credentials, completing a comprehensive diplomatic agenda at the Israeli President’s Residence.
