KazanForum Elevates Modest Fashion Industry

A major modest fashion showcase featuring designers from across the Islamic world and Russia took place in Kazan on Wednesday as part of KazanForum 2026.

The event, titled “Modest Fashion Day,” was hosted at the Pyramida Cultural and Entertainment Center in the capital of Russia’s Republic of Tatarstan. It gathered fashion designers, industry leaders and creative professionals under the forum’s cultural program.

Organizers said the initiative was designed to support the growing modest fashion industry, raise the international profile of participating designers and strengthen cooperation between Russia and countries from the Islamic world.

Fashion creators from Malaysia, Indonesia, Uzbekistan, Russia, Turkmenistan, Morocco and Pakistan presented collections blending traditional cultural influences with modern fashion trends.

The runway featured a wide range of designs, including evening gowns, casual wear and specially tailored outfits reflecting the evolving global modest fashion movement. Distinct regional elements were visible through fabric selections, embroidery styles, patterns and color combinations.

Forum organizers also scheduled business meetings between fashion brands, investors and designers to explore future partnerships and opportunities for industry growth.

The 17th edition of KazanForum is continuing in Kazan through May 17, bringing together representatives from Russia and the Islamic world for discussions on trade, culture and international cooperation.
