National Guard helicopter crash near US-Mexico border kills 3

A tragic incident occurred on Friday when a National Guard helicopter, engaged in operations near the U.S.-Mexico border, crashed in Texas, resulting in three fatalities and one injury. The crash involved a UH-72 Lakota helicopter, which was carrying three soldiers and a U.S. Border Patrol agent near Rio Grande City. The accident claimed the lives of two soldiers and the Border Patrol agent, while the third soldier sustained injuries, as reported by Joint Task Force North from Fort Bliss.
