New Show Tops Netflix’s Top 10, Ousting ‘Squid Game

When Squid Game season 2 debuted on Netflix, it seemed destined to hold the top spot for weeks, especially after its record-shattering success. However, in the U.S., the crown has already been claimed by WWE Monday Night RAW, the latest addition to Netflix’s lineup. The show’s 183-minute debut, packed with returning stars like The Rock, has rocketed to the top. Unlike typical Netflix shows, RAW includes traditional commercial breaks, marking a unique shift in the streaming service’s usual format. With a decade-long deal worth over $5 billion, Netflix plans to air RAW every week, providing a constant stream of content. Given the longevity of the deal, it’s unclear whether the show will hold its spot at number one or if the novelty will wear off.

Meanwhile, Squid Game continues to perform strongly, with its first-week views already reaching 58.2 million, making it the second most-watched non-English Netflix series of all time. This follows a strong 11-day total of 126.2 million views, surpassing the original season’s pace. The record-breaking performance hints at even bigger numbers in the future.

In the rest of Netflix’s top 10, Missing You, a new crime drama, is holding its ground behind Squid Game, while older titles like Virgin River and La Palma round out the list. With RAW, Squid Game, and other hits like Carry-On, Netflix’s content landscape is shaping up to be one of its most successful years yet.
